Vulvar itching is a condition which frequently affects the women’s quality of life and can be quite disturbing, even
hindering their sleep. It has multifactorial origin, thus its management can sometimes be challenging. A good
history is essential for making a diagnosis. Equally important is any similar history in spouse, family history, any
other GI symptoms, incontinence or any other skin problems. Commonest cause of vulvar pruritus is vulvovaginal
candidiasis followed by chronic dermatoses, such as lichen sclerosus and vulvar eczema. In this article we discuss
in detail about lesions of vulva, their diagnosis and management.
