Mysterious Covid 2nd Wave in India

Abstract

India, which has second –largest population in the world is suffering severely from COVID-19 disease.
The 2nd wave of COVID-19 is affecting most of the world. In India 2nd wave wreaks havoc, where daily
count on April 15, 2021 itself was double of the first peak1. In this paper, we characterize that this wave is
proving to be more infectious and deadlier than first wave. A few studies taken here from different countries
forcomparison of characteristics between 1st and 2nd wave of COVID-19.2As the country’s healthcare system
is crumbling amid the surge in cases- doctors say it’s hard for them to “see the light at the end of tunnel this
time”.
